Bayes Business School developed a series of four white papers to introduce its strategic research themes and showcase the breadth of research taking place across the School. The four themes explore AI and the Future of Business, The Future of Finance and Insurance, Tackling Societal Challenges, and Adapting to a Transforming World.
I was responsible for developing the visual design and layout of each publication, creating a cohesive editorial system that could work across the series while giving each paper its own visual character.
The challenge was to make a substantial amount of complex academic and research-led content feel clear, engaging and approachable, without compromising the credibility or depth of the subject matter. I developed a flexible grid, typography, hierarchy and visual language to structure the content and guide the reader through each publication.
Alongside the editorial layouts, I designed supporting information graphics, charts, diagrams, pull-out sections and visual devices to break up dense content and make key ideas easier to navigate. Particular attention was given to creating a consistent rhythm between written content, academic profiles, research themes and supporting information.
The result is a family of four publications that feel connected as part of one strategic series, while allowing each theme to have its own identity and personality.
